Description
Nagkesar (Mesua ferrea), is a slow growing tree which grows up to 1500 meters which is known for its heaviness and hardness of its timber.
It is a famous herb used to treat fever, vomiting, urinary tract disorders, migraine headache etc. Many herbal jams constitute this herb.
Nagkesar flowers have many traditional medicinal uses. The dried flowers are used in case of bleeding piles, dysentery with mucus, irritability of the stomach, excessive perspiration, skin infections, cough and indigestion. Nagkesar flowers are also used as an astringent and for snake bite and scorpion stings.
