Description
Jatamansi (Baalchhad) is an ayurvedic medicine for neuro-psychiatric disorders and birth difficulties for ladies and for external use it is used in hair oil and incence sticks. It is also known as Spikenard rhizomes, muskroot, nard and nardin. Botanical name of Jatamansi is Nardostachys Jatamansi. It is also known as Bhuta Jata (due to its rhizomes have demon appearance).
For Insomnia and dipression it is used along with Ashwagandha roots, Khurasani Ajwain, Nutmeg and Serpgandha root.
For Birth difficulties in ladies it is used along with Ashwagandha root, Jivanti (Dodi) root, Shatavari roots and Nagkesar stigma.
For Hair oil preparation it is used along with amla fruit, Aritha fruit, Manjistha root, till oil and Ushir roots.
